Student Society of Human Resource Development

During my time as a student at the University of Houston in 2018, the Society for Human Resource Development (SSHRD) served as a platform through which I engaged with the Houston HRM and OD communities. This involvement included participating in professional seminars, corporate visits, volunteering on campus, and engaging in community service throughout the greater Houston area.

ATD, Houston Chapter

At ATD, Houston I engage and network with the Houston's  ATD community. At ATD I am engaged with the experienced talent development professionals through webinars, and professional events. I have earned the gamification badge through ADT Houston sponsored program.

I learned about a five-step strategy for gamifying a learning or training program. The certification taught me about a practical process to use increase participation, learning, and application in learning programs.

The Woods Project

I absolutely love volunteering with the Woods Project. Through the Woods Project, I lead urban high school students on a weekend and multi-week camping trips. During these trips, we focus on teaching students outdoor and environmental competencies that develop critical thinking skills for "success in school and life."
